EFT-1 team given 'go' for second launch attempt With fueling of the United Launch Alliance (ULA) Delta 4 Heavy now underway, NASA's and Lockheed Martin's Orion Exploration Flight Test-1 (EFT-1) has the "go" today for a second launch attempt, with a liftoff set for 7:05 a.m. EST (1205 GMT) from the Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida. As during the first attempt on Thursday, the launch window extends two hours and 39 minutes to 9:44 a.m. EST (1444 GMT). The official weather forecast calls a 40 percent chance of acceptable conditions at liftoff. The primary concerns for launch are flight through precipitation, cumulus clouds, and liftoff wind.
